The summary alone was so very intriguing to me. When listening I was kept in suspense all the way through. While I thought I knew who was behind the conspiracy, & was right, there was no way to figure out why. There's also a murder. Are both related or not? Is the main character really a good honest man or does he deserve the treatment he's been receiving? I rarely find books to rate over 4 stars. This deserves them all. As usual, Robert's reading is perfect. I hope he ends up reading the majority of Librivox books.
Thank You Roger

I'd like to thank the reader (Roger Melin) for this book. It kept me company on a 2 day journey in the car. Roger is an excellent reader and the story keeps you engaged. I didn't get sleepy while listening. 5 Stars for a good book and a great reader.

Excellent recording of an intriguing mystery that I’ve listened to several times. This book will keep you guessing and maybe a little frustrated with the characters with the way they behave. Highly recommend this engaging storyline!
Good brand of silence

This one kept my attention from the beginning and I didn't have a even a bad guess as to who it was until almost the end.

And enjoyed it both times. The summary covers the plot of the story. I listen to books at work, and sometimes I get caught up in a book so much that I put it on my kindle and head home and finish the book. This was just such a story. Roger M is one of my favorite readers. Thanks again for a great story!
Refreshingly old school mystery
Annick of Moonfleet
I love this reader he imbues a feeling of authenticity to whichever story he reads. This mystery is NewYork city around 1918 I'd guess as it was published first in 1919. When a detective had to use his own intuition and tireless investigation to get to the bottom of it all!
