The Path of Prosperity
James Allen
Read by Audio Andrea
Summary from The Path of Prosperity:
I looked around upon the world, and saw that it was shadowed by sorrow and scorched by the fierce fires of suffering. And I looked for the cause. I looked around, but could not find it; I looked in books, but could not find it; I looked within, and found there both the cause and the self-made nature of that cause. I looked again, and deeper, and found the remedy.
I found one Law, the Law of Love; one Life, the Life of adjustment to that Law; one Truth, the truth of a conquered mind and a quiet and obedient heart. And I dreamed of writing a book which should help men and women, whether rich or poor, learned or unlearned, worldly or unworldly, to find within themselves the source of all success, all happiness, all accomplishment, all truth. And the dream remained with me, and at last became substantial; and now I send it forth into the world on its mission of healing and blessedness, knowing that it cannot fail to reach the homes and hearts of those who are waiting and ready to receive it. This gets to the heart of the matter. It isn't all about just sayong affirmations, it is about character first. I really like the way he is presented this.

this books brings out the ego mind and it symptoms and consequences of not reducing your ego. This book if not understand deeply could cause a person to confused the map with the territory. fisrt and foremost we have to understand what is selfish and start from self acceptance. brutally and forcefully trying to reduce your ego doesnt work. selfish is just a symptom from the lack of love from childhood, genetics, society and etc. you just have to learn to forgive yourself and others after you have build self compassion and understanding of your own self.

Everyone and I mean EVERYONE must hear this! To imagine all people living by the principles of this writing would be to truly imagine heaven on earth. However. because I listened to this audio book with an open heart and mind, it's better that I only imagine these things of myself that I may be that heaven within (For the kingdom of Heaven is within) and therefore, bring our heaven to you.
Wonderful, carefully paced reading of an Uplifting work!

Mz. Fiore's voice is sonorously soothing, and she does an outstanding job in her clarity of reading. May she be Blessed for her generosity! Allen's work I found uplifting, and of greater value still when one is pressured by life or feeling need. Enjoy, and may it Bless you as you listen to it!

Beautifully written! Beautifully read by A.F. This audio book will go well right alongside my Bible! It will be heard more than one time. I’m convinced that 90-95% of life is lived in the mind. If you keep your spirit and soul intact, the body will follow. A book for the ages!
This book is highly recommended!

This book is highly recommended because it dares to be bold and challenging but yet inspirational. I see many modern philosophers that are basing there ideology on his works, which in turns are based on parts of the Bible.
