Reviews
A difficult book to review
Timothy Ferguson
THe read is good, but the material is troublesome. It needs to tread that little space between books which you are familiar with, and nostalgic about, and books which conntect to those, which you are eager to learn about. This means that for each listener, some chapters will be good, and some few may be dull, particularly because the author is reviewing a library from a century ago, so that he assumes familiarity with works which are no longer familiar. Still: highly entertaining in places.
