The Adventures of Sally
P. G. Wodehouse
Read by Kara Shallenberg (1969-2023)
This romantic comedy stars a young American girl named Sally, who inherits a considerable fortune and finds her life turned upside down. The typically Wodehouseian cast includes Sally's ambitious brother, an assortment of theater people, a pair of English cousins, and, of course, an Uncle. It's jolly good fun! what a delight! the reader is perfect, her voice carry's each person beautifully. and of course Wodehouse puts outs a fun yarn with a amusing story and Sally is endearing. Predictable, but its not about the end, its about the journey. I loved it!
I'm a woodhouse nut! (possibly just a nut lol)

Another great book by PG Wodehouse, refreshingly without Jeeves and Bertie. A sweet romance with PGWs wonderful wit and wisdom. Kara Shallenberg’s interpretive reading brought the audio book to life. A joyous and fun read!
Fun!

This is a light, fun story that I enjoyed very much. The main character has a wonderful sense of humor, which I suspect mirrors the author’s. Very nicely narrated too. Thank you for all your effort.
Great Reader, Good Book

I believe Kara Shallenberg could read a manual on how to use a new coffee maker or toaster and make it sound interesting. I am genuinely sincere when I say she reads everything in a manner that makes it come to life with the sparkle of her kind and gentle manner. God bless you Kara. As usual, Wodehouse wrote with his wonderful way of making one feel better about life and love and presented serious topics with the sunny side up. God bless all of you at Librivox.
Wonderful Story

I must admit, with each new Wodehouse book I listen to, I am becoming a diehard fan. :-) Sally is an honest-hearted girl who seeks to help others and always looks at the positive side of any situation. Enter Ginger who makes a muddle of everything. Who else could see the positive aspects of someone like that besides Sally? A positively wonderful story, the narrator does a wonderful job with reading and voices. Enjoy!
Highly recommended

"Upon what meat doth this our Fillmore feed, That he is grown so great?" A hilarious book, perfectly narrated. The vocal performance fits excellently with the strong and smart heroine. It's Wodehouse. Don't expect any shock twists and turns, but do expect to smile and laugh out loud! An inconvenient pandemic even makes a cameo appearance.
Delightfully funny tale

This is a delightfully funny story about an intelligent, honest, strong and warm-hearted woman. The cast of characters is quite a contrast to our young heroine and set her off nicely. Kara Schallenberg gives another excellent reading - you can tell that she is enjoying Sally's adventures as much as her listeners are.
