Sir Edward Leithen and his friends Lord Lamancha, Palliser-Yeates, and Archie Roylance are bored of life. After Leithen's doctor recommends a hearty adventure, they set out to Scotland for a season of shooting--on other people's grounds. Old fashioned but excellent and original tale. Just a little hard to follow due to some readers trying (and failing “Brigadoon” style) to read in a Scottish accent!

cracking yarn

Excellent story that must be due for a miniseries.
