Thanks to a wonderful reader. Well developed plot.

LOVED this intriguing, multi-generational story!!

I’m an avid reader in my 60s who has never heard of this author! I’m wondering, “How can this be?” Charles Garvice’s conception and execution of this tale was wonderful. It held my attention and fired my imagination all along the way. I was actually sad when it ended! The reader has become dear to me, as I have listened to her narrate many stories. I enjoy listening to her in 0.8x playback speed. I absorb more detail and follow more closely along at that speed. Thank you again, dear Reader—I DID enjoy this story! :D

Sigh

(3 stars)

I wish I could have loved this one, but the plots were too far fetched, the actions too improbable and saccharine even for a romance junkie like me. And the reader sounded like a computer voice. So, I probably won't be looking for any more books by this author, or this reader. I did make it to the end though!

Escapism

(4 stars)

Completely implausible soap opera material, wonderfully read all the way through. If you need a bit of escape from the day to day you'll enjoy the twists and turns.

adult fairy tale

a cute story, if a bit too improbable.
