Black Plumes by Margery Allingham is a gripping radio adaptation that first aired on April 7, 1956. This production, adapted for radio by Felix Felton and Susan Ashman, was broadcast on the BBC Home Service on September 19, 1964.

The story follows Meyrick Ivory, who leaves his son-in-law, Robert, in charge of his art gallery while he travels abroad. When Robert is found murdered under mysterious circumstances, suspicion quickly falls on several individuals. The cast features Marjorie Westbury as Gabrielle Ivory, alongside Patrick Barr and Duncan McIntyre.
