The Sayings of Lao Tzu
Lao Tzu
Read by Nemo
Lao-Tzu, also known as Laozi was a Chinese philosopher believed to have lived in the 6th century BCE and is credited with writing the Tao-Te-Ching which centers around the idea that the way of virtue lies in simplicity and a recognition of a natural, universal force known as the Tao. He is traditionally regarded as the founder of Taoism. This book is a compilation of his most profound writings translated directly from ancient Chinese texts. - Summary by Nemo (1 hr 16 min)

I was listening to this as part of a wind down ritual in the evening, and the reader really made it work for this purpose. The sound quality is good, although not perfect. The intrusive add in the middle disturbed me. The sayings themselves have a promise of great depth. That's all I can say as of now in my journey to learn what man has had to say.

Well read by Nemo. The book itself deserved the four stars. I'm still trying to grasp the Tao as something outside if myself, it speaks of heaven and external forces. More study is needed. Thank you Nemo.
