The Box with the Broken Seals

A convoluted tale of espionage. This entertaining story is set in World War I. It has interesting characters. and I found my sympathies equally divided between the spy and his relentless pursuer. In my opinion, one of Oppenheim’s best. (Summary by Richard Kilmer) (8 hr 44 min)

Wild Ride!

I highly recommend this book! It is one of my favorite E. P. Oppenheim novels. There are so many unexpected plot twists. The main character has a rather intriguing and unexpected nature/personality.

BAD GUY / GOOD GUY

A very intriguing story of would be espionage. The duel is fascinating, the end is satisfying (if very surprising), and the narration is excellent. Enjoy this one.

One of my favorite narrators

I think this was great story. The chemistry among the characters was intriguing and hilarious.

As usual, the book is so good. While Richard Kilmer can be easily understood, his sing-song rhythm beat, his pauses in mid sentences, lifting his voice at periods and fatal mispronouncements of words drives me crazy. All of his reading mistakes can be overcome with a few lessons. I love that someone has had the foresight to bring these old masters to the reading public.

No Villains Here

It's a complex plot including trains, planes, automobiles, steamships, destroyers, submarines, card sharps, Irish Nationalists, spies, serious money, dangerous documents, two beautiful women, and a World War. Excellent narration, too.

enjoyed this book very much, reader was clear yet broke sentence flow so took quite a while to settle into it. However would now like to hear him read again. thanku libriVox.
