Through the Looking-Glass (version 2)
Lewis Carroll
Read by Adrian Praetzellis
The sequel to “Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland” finds Alice back in Wonderland and a piece in a surreal chess game. This weird and wonderful book includes the poems “Jabberwocky” and “The Walrus and the Carpenter,” a talking pudding, and that immortal line “Jam yesterday, jam tomorrow, but never jam today.” Lewis Carroll was the nom de plume of Charles Dodgson (1832-1890) an Anglican clergyman, photographer, and mathematician. Delightful to listen to. Adrian Praetzelis reads clearly with a voice and accents well suited to the quirky narrative and characters. I particularly enjoyed the frog and the Red Queen.
Loved it!

Adrian has such a soothing voice which makes this the perfect book to fall asleep to as your mind wanders off into Alice's world.

A Good Book!

The reader is amazing! I also loved the intro with the kittens (we have ten at home right now, so that probably makes a difference :) The chess idea was neat, but I did keep forgetting that that's what the 'red' and 'white' were about. Reading the book is nicer, especially with the illustrations and some neat word arrangements, but listening is a great option when you need time. I do like 'Wonderland' better, but very much enjoyed this. These sure are hard books to multitask to :)
Such a good reading

I love this book immensely and this reading of it isone of my favourites on this app. I love the work he put into voices and rhythm. The accent made it pleasant to listen to as well as added personality to it.
