God Bless You Scarlet for Your Wonderful Reading Of Such An Inspiring Story

(5 stars)

As one who has felt the need and the joy of knowing Christ, I can only say that I believe God will bless you, Scarlet for reading a book that was so real and inspiring for anyone to listen to. I received many medals for valor in a terrible war and upon returning home my young wife died only three months later, as I believe I have related in other reviews I have written. However, let me assure you or anyone who cares to understand that no veteran of whom I am aware considers himself/herself a hero, no matter how many medals he may have won. I have suffered much from depression and nightmares but have found most of my present comfort in the knowledge that Christ loves me and all who gave all so that others may live freely. But I only speak of the incidents of my life to show that I do know what suffering is and that Christ can and will (sometimes with the guidance of physicians) make life worthwhile and I have dedicated myself to helping others better understand their suffering and to bring them closer to "The Presence." God bless you again Scarlet and all who give of themselves for the benefit of others!!!

Excellent

If you've heard or read anything by Grace Livingston Hill, then you already know it's full of Christian values and hope. This book is no exception and is a wonderful example of Christian writing. It's refreshing for those of us who are Christians to read a book that has prayers and scripture written right into the storyline. I never get tired of her refreshing and lovely writing. And the reader was excellent also. She is very good with putting the right emphasis in the right places. I also like to hear this lady sing, she has a lovely voice. All in all, this is a great book. Thank you to the reader and everyone else who put this together.

I loved this book , more than any of the others by this author, truth be told. It tells the wayvof salvation and service to God more clearly. The path of sin is described and the outcome of walking in it. Yet the path or righteousness and God's tender care for His own is also described. Some He may carry home, some He may provide for in other ways. The reader ran excellent. I thoroughly enjoyed her differing voices and thoughtful rendering of each character.

Enjoyable

The reader did a great job. I enjoyed this story very much. It made me think about how the presence of God is a reality in our lives as believers that makes a difference.

Scarlett truly captured the aloofness of the rich girl in her reading. This book began as just another book but became very personal at the end

touching

very intimate, touching story of conversion and forgiveness. a sort of retelling of the story of Saul turned Paul from the Bible.
