A puppy for Christmas! What could be better? Dan McCoy and his capable wife June find out when Santa gives them a frolicsome hairball named Elf, a Silky Terrier on the Christmas wish list of nefarious dognappers who want to steal him in a murderous scheme to win "Best in Show" at Westminster. Elf foils the plot when he brings Macy's Parade to a tumultuous halt in a comedic Christmas adventure.

The ratings stars aren't working at the moment. The story is growing on me (I nearly unsubscribed twice). The humor becomes more adept as the story unfolds. Good job.

Fascinating!

Every once in a while, I step out of my comfort zone and explore genres or topics I would usually avoid. During this brave moment in my life, Hunting Elf became one of my victims. Or rather, I fell prey to its ludicrous misadventures ... The characters were very developed and - dare I admit? - we know them! (Real life or tv, I'm not sure; the jury is still belly laughing.) This was a very well written tale, taking its readers into a world where little old ladies are meddling and mean and you can count on getting caught by the same police officer each and every time ... How embarrassingly funny - in the way you wish you were a fly on the wall to watch it unravel!

Hi Mitch, Sorry to take so long to reply, but I've been on the road. There is a minimum of nasty language in Elf, although there are a couple of hard "darns" and more than a few double entendres. You'll find a few murders scattered throughout, but no graphic, bloody ...

This was a fun, fun book. As a dog and cat owner, I could completely relate to the antics of the animals involved from the disdain of the cats to what my husband and I call "sofa-surfing," wherein the dogs wipe their faces off after eating. Some parts of the ...

This is the funniest story I have had the good fortune to experience for a long time. I was at times forced to pull my car over to the side of the road for fear of loosing control at the side-splittingly hilarious scenes this story has in abundance. This really ...

As the owner of 4 crazy dogs, I found Hunting Elf hilarious. The characters were very realistic and easy to relate to for me because I too adore my dogs who seem to live for trouble. I found myself remembering antics of my dogs throughout the story. The story is ...

Quite enjoyed the book. What a comical little dog. I'm guessing I just listened to the last chapter in the book even though the Podiobooks things still says waiting for new chapters.

Hi, I am looking for stuff I can play for my children on numerous long road trips we have to take. What is the profanity level in this book? Thanks
