Implant
Michael Wallace and Jefferey Anderson
Read by Michael Wallace and Jefferey Anderson
Neurosurgeon Julia Nolan places cortical implants into the brains of field operatives to record data from their auditory and visual cortices. One of her subjects, an operative named Ian Westhelle, suffers a psychotic break and kills his handler before he can be recovered.
Julia tracks Ian to an asylum where the CIA warehouses insane former soldiers, scientists, and others with security risks too great for conventional psychiatric wards. Agents from the national intelligence directorate discover her snooping and target her for elimination.
A collaboration between bestselling writers Michael Wallace and Jeffrey Anderson, Implant is a heart-pounding thriller that will keep readers guessing until the final, chilling conclusion.

Apologies for not getting the final few episodes of Implant recorded yet. I've been suffering a cold the last few weeks and while I'm feeling better, my voice still sounds awful. I hate to leave it at such a nail-biting place, but I promise I'll get the rest of it ...

WOW. this novel is wonderful. One of very very few on Podiobooks that I would like to give 6 out of 5 stars. I am not going into to a lengthy post as it is not my style but I have to say I really really enjoyed IMPLANT. For me ...

Production: This is a straight read. The audio is a little uneven places in terms of volume. I also wasn’t the biggest fan of the music that they chose for the podcast. The audio quality itself wasn’t bad, but nothing great either. One thing proved problematic. As a note to ...

I enjoyed this novel immensely. My only issue with the podcast was the opening music. It sounded just too sedate for a CIA thriller novel. More like something for a Joe Cottonwood novel. But that's a nitpick, as it did nothing to detract my enjoyment of the story. Good job!

Great listen, "Implant" is fascinating and the suspense is very intense. Michael Wallace and Jefferey Anderson's book should put a very famous author with the initials TC on notice that the bar has been set quite a bit higher. Check "Implant", out 5 out of 5.

Voice is sounding fine now, Michael. Started listening late in the game so, through some strange synchronicity, you've been keeping a couple of steps ahead of me in releasing episodes. Enjoying the topical nature of the huge oil field. Thanks for a great listen!

Yep, been to Nephi many times, as has Jeff. If you've read my polygamist thriller series, The Righteous, you'll see that I've spent perhaps far too much time in rural Utah. Glad you're enjoying the book!
