This volume is concerned with the story of Karl Ludwig Sand, who stabbed August von Kotzebue to death in 1819. Perhaps... but "Celebrated Crimes" is the name of the series as translated in the text, so that's what is used. :)

Should not be the titles of these books be translated as "famous crimes" instead of "celebrated crimes"?
