His Last Bow (version 3)
Sir Arthur Conan Doyle
Read by David Clarke
His Last Bow: Some Reminiscences of Sherlock Holmes is a collection of previously published Sherlock Holmes stories by Arthur Conan Doyle, including the titular short story, "His Last Bow. The War Service of Sherlock Holmes" (1917). The collection's first US edition adjusts the anthology's subtitle to Some Later Reminiscences of Sherlock Holmes. All editions contain a brief preface, by "John H. Watson, M.D.", that assures readers that as of the date of publication (1917), Holmes is long retired from his profession of detective but is still alive and well, albeit suffering from a touch of rheumatism. - Summary by David Clarke (7 hr 10 min)

I have listened to as many Sherlock Holmes stories as I can that are read by David Clarke. He is one of the best voice actors/ readers (Iâm unsure what the correct term is) on LibriVox. He speaks clearly and does little accents when the character calls for it. My hat off to you sir, well done.
Suberb reading, excellent stories

Very well read. Calm and easy to understand, but still very lively and with much feeling. The book itself is a typical good Sherlock Holmes. I will miss it after listening to all of them.

love the witty amusing portrayal of Sherlock Holmes and Watson. Sir Arthur Conan Doyle is an amazing author even century later. and David Clarke's interpretation of the characters is the best I've heard. portraying the great logician is spot on what I'd pictured him sounding like as I read the book myself.
