Couldn't handle the character voices. I did like reader's narration voice.

Loved it! Wharton does an intensly personal story of a Duke trying to rule as the traditional Italian political crumbles on the eve of the French Revolution.
Surprise gem

Felt like a rather unusual tale for Wharton, but I enjoyed it and found it well told. Narrator was excellent.
