This volume contains the four speeches delivered by Cicero in 63 BC, when he was a consul, against the conspiracy headed by L. Sergius Catilina. Catilina was scheming to bring about a general uprising in the country if he could not rise to a position of power by election. This volume includes an English introduction and notes on the speeches by E.A. Upcott.
The e-text used to produce this audiobook also includes further helpful study material for Latin scholars, which has been omitted from this audio version. - Summary by Carolin (3 hr 23 min)

Reviews

I came, I listened, I gave up!

(2 stars)

I was really excited when I saw the title. Alas my Latin is somewhat rusty and I could not quite understand what was being said so I had to give up listening. I know, I know, the readers just read what is in front of them. But I wonder why it was read at all. How many listeners understand Latin now-a-days?

The introduction is in English, but the speeches are in Latin.
