I enjoyed the reader who spoke clearly and economically which made each chapter easy to listen to. As to Orthodoxy, I wish I had had the brains earlier in life to understand and digest this book! As to now, I'm looking forward to a second listening to catch the half I missed. Chesterton's thoughts and arguments and reasoning is an over-the-top bountiful banquet, that left me chewing and satisfied at the same time.

Great narration

(5 stars)

The narrator captures Chesterton style of writing perfectly. When I recall Chesterton lines from Orthodoxy, I can't help but hear Carter's voice.

excellent, but I'll need to comeback and re listen.

I'll need to return to this title and listen again. I've heard of G. K. Chesterton and now I understand why he was so influential. unfortunately I feel I've only barely understood the general concepts and heard a few of the very highlightable moments. not truly understood the depth of thoughts given in this book.

a worthy read

G.K. Chesterton has been quoted so much and for good reason. He words ideas in unexpected ways, making people think. while I don't agree on every point he makes in Otrthodoxy, there were so many great points that I will have to get a copy of the book to go back and reread.

Always wanted to 'read' this one!

JA Carter's voice is easy to listen to. There are a few chapters which start again halfway through the snippet, strangely. Enjoyed it overall - undertones of wit make the big overarching views he approaches more understandable.

Rich and Moving

Excellent reading of an incredibly rich work. I don't think I've ever listened to or read something so intellectually stimulating while also being so emotionally stimulating. I cried during Chapter 1 and I cried at the end!
