About The Lineup
351Charlie
"The Lineup" is a very well written and well played cop drama. Listen for HOWARD MCNEAR ( Floyd the barber in Andy Griffith TV series - Doc in Gunsmoke radio series ) He's in nearly every episode, "altering" his voice, often playing more than one role, and almost always a suspect in the lineup. Also, many episodes were written by a fledgling writer by the name of BLAKE EDWARDS. This show is worth your time getting to know the characters, and is quite entertaining. The theme music (after the 1st few eisodes) is great, too.
I love this show, but

One of my favorite OTR shows. Great script writing, acting and direction. My only complaint would have to be the organ playing in between scenes. Too loud and distracting. Other than that, it's a great example of a police procedural. Better than Dragnet in my opinion.
Favorite episode so far....
Eve Arden's BFF
The Fire Escape had my nerves on the edge the entire time. The whole series is so good - well acted, good scripts, high audio quality. And those accents! I'm happy to find a new series to devour.
