These programmes are sweet pastries. —Fun to fall in with, as well. So Grab your Paul that is a Les, get in tune to the straight and narrow, pick a ONE PART (at a time), and play. Do NOT try to play multiple parts. As Les himself said, be careful. 'The worst accidents happen at home' These programme were mostly played and recorded (NOT transcribed) at Les and Mary's HOME. I think Les kept a lead part out of the mix so as to have something to play in the radio studio? I dunno if he was even in the radio studio. I never asked. The only transcribing that was done, was at the NBC New York Studio. —Damn. If Les had lent NBC one of his Ampex 201 lug-ables (ugh) we'd have these programes in better fidelity. High Tech. Les used a 12 inch JBL coaxial speaker mounted on a simple 3/4" plywood board and leaned it against the loo in his bath-room. With an effects-send connection via his RCA broadcast board, he created a great ECHO CHAMBER. The best accidents happen at home. Um, Is it "Ho Hokus" or "Ho, Ho, Ho, Hokus"? It is the town after "Ho, Hokus", and just before you Saddle The River ? If you saddled the river, you went too far. Les, I miss you, a LOT.

She is a bit country, he FOUNDED rock and roll with his technology. I remember seeing them on the teevee when I was a kid and thinking that Mary was the most beautiful woman in the world. No guitar player in the world of toady can say that he or she did it on their own. They all stand on Les' shoulders. When I'm messing around on the computer, this is often playing in the background.

He remains at the top of recording, designing endless sustain guitars and guitar technique that stuns (and always) with or without multi-recording. He is one man!!! Just listen!!! He was looked up to by one of the world's best guitarists, Chet Atkins, the best of Rock and the rest of us. His guitar is in such demand that thousands think Les Paul is a guitar. They are right AND ALMOST!!!!!!!!!!!

these are a great insight into a time a bit before the rock and roll explosion. i found these really enjoyable, and can listen to them over and over again. some of the material is repeated, but that okay. if you love guitar these are a must, tell your friends.. the sound is ok also sav rekons 4.5 to 5 stars
