If they're all as good as RR119-!

then my marriage might be in trouble... I am almost indecently excited to have discovered Relic Radio today (in 2014). The shows I've heard have held my interest throughout w/great production values and terrific stories. This is the third of their series I've sampled (besides THE HORROR 1-4 & THRILLER) and just read above there are at least eight more! Makes a laid-up bookworm very happy, big smile! I have just listened to my first RR, #119. Both stories were so good I didn't want them to end, unusual for me. Theater 5's music is ultra cool circa 1964--just classic. And their announcer is a Hoot!!! It was so fresh sounding, i really thought it was Relic's music and host right up until he said "Theater 5" and "New York, 23, New York.". Relic's host comes on and HIS voice makes my ears feel good.

Great Old Time Radio selections in "Double Feature" format

Relic Radio (relicradio.com) is a great provider of good shows, all in as good listening condition as the host can find them, and he has kindly provided archive.org compilations to enjoy. I've had many dozens of happy hours listening (and falling asleep- you can always replay if you missed "who done it"). I enjoy the various acting stars, and like the musical "stings"- historically, from organ, or studio orchestra written for the show, to then canned commercial music. These shows have occasional commercials, but most shows don't have them included. Roma wines on Suspense are fun to listen to. The announcer was "educating the American audience" that wine was good with meals. Imagine that! OK -check this... https://archive.org/details/SuspenseRoma43to44 These Relic Radio selections are often a chosen set of detective/thriller with drama, or occasionally an hour show, sometimes two cowboys shows. It's a fine mixed selection that offers the excitement and entertainment of fine Old Time Radio. Imagine, no pictures! Somehow, the story makes it perfectly clear in the imagination.

Pure Awesome
