Fire Fighters - Single Episodes
Old Time Radio Researchers Group
FIRE FIGHTERS Five Bells stand by all stations... Attention all districts, a five alarm fire... Five Bells, move in immediately... That's it... Let's roll... Let's go, FIRE FIGHTERS! Presenting Fire Fighters, the true to life story of our unsung heroes who stand ready to ride, day or night, against our most murderous enemy, the Demon of FIRE! Fire Fighters was a syndicated series produced by Cincinnati’s William F. Holland Productions, Inc. in 1948. It was aired in various markets from coast-to-coast, including Portland, OR, Omaha, NE, and Washington, D.C., into the early 1950s. It followed the adventures of rookie firefighter Tim Collins and fire chief Bob Cody. Written by Frank Jones, Fire Fighters starred Cameron Prud’Homme and Lyle Sudrow. The program was lauded by local fire departments across the country for promoting fire safety and publicizing modern firefighting techniques. Great, but . . .

The content itself is outstanding (I'd give it 5 stars), but the order in which the episodes have been downloaded is all wrong! They are pretty much all out of order and makes for a very confusing listening time. Only the first 7 are in correct order as far as I know. "Firefighters" is a really great program but I just wanted to warn everyone before hand about the tracks being all out of order.
Fun show

This is an enjoyable show. Thank you for sharing it. I did discover that 14 episodes are mislabeled. Episodes 8-14 and 22-28 are reversed. The labels themselves are accurate, but the file doesn't match the label. 8 should be 22 and vice versa. 9/23, 10/24, 11/25, 12/26, 12/27 and 14/28.
Thanks, William Holland and jfyuga

An entertaining radio series, enjoyable for kids of all ages. Thanks, jfyuga, for noting the correct listening order. You've helped avoid the listener (and Tim Collins and Chief Cody), from getting lost mid-mission.
