These rare episodes are a treat. Here, Groucho hosts a show very much like the ones done by Bob Hope and Jack Benny: Sketch comedy with a special guest star and lots of music. While some of the scripts would have worked better on Bob Hope, Groucho more than holds his own. These five episodes are star-packed with Charles Laughton, Vera Vague, and Jack Benny among the guest stars. Sci-fi Groucho and Western Groucho are both included. It's not as good as a Marx Brothers movie or You Bet Your Life, but Blue Ribbon Town is definitely worth the listen.
