What *is* the Blue Beetle?
Nick A
The Blue Beetle Radio Serial aired from 05-15-40 to 09-13-40. Actor Frank Lovejoy provided the voice of the Blue Beetle for the first thirteen episodes. Later episodes were uncredited. The Blue Beetle was a young police officer who saw the need for extra-ordinary crime fighting. He took the task on himself by secretly donning a superhero costume to create fear in the criminals who were to learn to fear the Blue Beetle's wrath.
These were interesting

This was a superhero in the mold of others of that era (Shadow, Green Lama, etc). I see that have had three different separate Blue Beetles. This is the first Beetle, Dan Garrett, who was a cop. They just made a movie about the Blue Beetle. i have not seen it, But it should be interesting.
