Reviews

Gunsmoke is still outstanding

(5 stars)

The reviewer who said Matt Dillon is edgier on radio than on TV is absolutely right. Never, do I remember, on TV did they slip and let us know Miss Kitty was a prostitute, but they do more than once on the radio. Back in the days of the Old West, sweet young ladies did not work in saloons. Anyway, Gunsmoke is the best. Additionally, "potato" does not end in an "e",

radio vs tv.

(4 stars)

Marshall Dillon's harder edge in the radio series definitely raises this above the tv version. With great support from Parley Baer(Chester) and Doc (Howard McNear)its a great western for adults.

A great cast and well written stories that are kept reasonable fresh
